KARACHI, 23 DEC (DNA) – The Chartered Accountants Students Association – South (CASA – S) organised the CA Students’ Conference 2014 with theme ‘Move Outside The Box’ in collaboration with the Southern Regional Committee of ICAP, here on Tuesday in local hotel. Chairman SRC Arsalan Khalid welcome the chief guest, speaker and the delegates.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Husain Lawai, President & CEO, Summit Bank Limited described his extra ordinary experience as a economist through various stories.
He said this was a remarkable alliance between a top ranking business school and the leading accountancy body of the country to strengthen the brand of the two partnering institutions.
On the occasion, a speaker Mohammad Shoaib, CEO Al – Meezan Investment Management Limited gave a thorough insight on the topic what it takes to be Move Outside The Box in the education of Pakistan. He emphasized on the attainment of education as the key to transform lives. CA Students’ Conference was a conduit of powerful ideas.
The conference was also addressed by Mushtaq Chapra, Chairman, the Citizens Foundation who highlighted the need to look beyond numbers by primarily engaging in activities that could be beneficial for the nation and mankind as a whole.

CASA was established in the year 1968, with an aim to bridge the communication and expectation gap between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the trainees of Chartered Accountant firms and to provide a platform to trainees to exhibit their hidden talents and prove their mettle by organizing extra – curricular and co – curricular activities.
Since its formation, CASA has sailed through a rough, yet interesting path over the last 44 years as a society of students, elected by the students to serve their best interests. DNA
