ISLAMABAD: Parliament’s special session on Yemen was abuzz with slogans of go Imran go as Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, alongwith other members of his party attended the Parliament session Monday  after a 7-month boycott.

When the session begun with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in chair, some of the MNAs from ruling PML-N chanted slogans against PTI and its leader Imran Khan.

The slogans also disrupted opening speech by Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, as speaker requested lawmakers to maintain order in the house.

Members of the MQM and JUI(F) also raised the slogans of “Shame, shame”.

Though the speaker did not give floor to them, Danial Aziz and Umer Ayub of PML-N, continued to demand a ruling from the speaker about resignations of the PTI members. They also asked the PTI members to apologize to Parliament.

The house gave a view of fish market , as members from all sides continued to criticize the PTI.

As the PML-N members did not stop from raising slogans despite requests by the Ministers, the speaker threatened to adjourned the house.

Later talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, MQM central leader Farooq Sattar said the joint session of the parliament was illegal and unconstitution. He said that under article 64 of the constitution, if a member remains absent for 40 days, he cannot remain the member. Therefore he said the PTI members are not members of the assembly any more.

Minister Mushahidullah Khan welcomed the PTI to the parliament and said Imran Khan considers “U Turn” as his success

Meanwhile there was no thumping of desks as the PTI members came to the house. They entered the house and took their seats silently.

PML-N’s Tahir Aurangzeb,Senator Chaudhry Tanwir , PPP’s Aitzaz Ahsan  and Khursheed Shah, JI’s Aisha Syed and AML’s Sheikh Rashid went to Imran Khan and welcome him back.
