ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former interior minister, Senator Rehman Malik has said that the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, instead of taking action against the extremist and terrorist organizations, changed the venue of the Pak-India cricket match which is his defeat.

Talking to newsmen outside the Parliament House on Thursday, Rehman Malik said that by changing the venue of the Pak-India cricket match, the Indian prime minister himself gave path to terrorists and extremists.

To a query, the PPP leader said the alliance of 34 countries against terrorism is a good omen and Pakistan should play its due role in unity of the Ummah. He said that Iran and other Muslim countries should also bring in the alliance.

To another query regarding rift in MQM, Rehman Malik said that it was its internal matter of the party and he didn’t want to comment on it.
