Change sans revolution not possible: Only few hours left of Nawaz govt: Tahirul Qadri

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17 (INP): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri has said that the Nawaz Sharif government will be over with next few hours. He said that Nawaz Sharif has already left Prime Minister House for his residence in Jati Umra, Lahore.

Talking to the sit-ins participants in Islamabad Sunday afternoon, Dr. Qadri said that the present government is the product of rigging and corruption and thus illegal and unconstitutional. Qadri said there would be no mid term elections and they would be the first to offer for accountability after the national government is formed.

He said elections would only be held in the country once reforms were introduced. He said under current system, neither can corruption be eradicated nor can the people get their rights. Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that he has already presented his 10-points charter of demands. He said that the prosperity of people lies only in the change of the current administrative system. PAT Chief said that revolution against unconstitutional system is inevitable.

The PAT chief said that there will be no space for corrupt officers in national government. He said that corruption will be eradicated completely from Pakistan and 1000 billion rupees will be saved annually by curbing corruption. “We shall end the system of financial terrorism through revolution”, he added.

Dr. Tahir ul Qadri said that any change in the current system of governance was not possible without bringing about a peaceful revolution. He said the so-called democratic governments cannot address the issues being faced by a common man.

Pakistan has all the resources needed to solve the prevailing crises, he said, adding that the present system cannot deliver. Dr. Qadri said that rulers have declared the corrupted system as democracy. He ruled out talks about end of his revolution march and said talks could be held only with the participants of the march.
