Rawalpindi: The Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) remains deprived of funds as the elected representatives look up to the Member National Assembly’s (MNA’s) to provide them funds for development in there respective areas. A resident of Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB), Muhammad Ali told scribe that they had voted for Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) representatives as the party is currently in power in the hope that there problems will be solved.
He lamented that most people have now lost hope that the members of CCB will carry out any development in the area. Another resident told scribe that when he approached the elected representatives of CCB, he was told that the elected representatives are virtually powerless and have not been provided fund of even a single Rupee. He complained that during the election campaign the MNA’s had made lofty claims that funds would be provided to CCB but now the fulfillment of the promise seems like a distant dream.
Some representatives of the CCB told scribe that there is visible discrimination against the CCB and revealed that recently fund of 10 crore was provided to the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) by Malik Abrar Ahmad who is Member National Assembly from NA-54, however CCB remains neglected.
CCB member Al-Haaj Khalid Butt while talking to the scribe pointed out that Chairman Metro Bus Hanif Abbasi recently provided fund of 16 crore to three wards of CCB. He asked the party high-ups to look into the issue on urgent basis so that the problems of residents of CCB can be resolved.
