CDA removes illegal structures

 No business activities to be allowed in residential units of Capital: Chairman

ISLAMABAD (DNA): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched operation against non-confirming use of land in Sector F-8 on Monday.

 During the operation jointly launched by Building Control Section and Enforcement Directorate, action was taken against Tehzeeb Restaurant, Maskan Restaurant, Bomby Restaurant, Siena Restaurant, Anum Store, Casa Bila furniture showrooms and Vagus Parlour. The entry paths to Tehzeeb Restaurant, Maskan Restaurant, Siena Restaurant and Bomby Restaurant situated in  F-8 were closed, while signboards and other illegal structures were removed, according to a press release.

 Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has expressed his satisfaction over the operation against the non-confirming use of land by the concerned formations of the Authority and said that CDA absolutely discourage the violation of CDABuilding Bylaws.

 He said that CDA will not allow any business activities in the residential units of the Federal Capital, adding that CDA would continue its operations against non-confirming use of land in the residential areas without any fear or favour.

 Building Control and Enforcement Directorates also took prompt action against two furniture showrooms i.e. Anum Store and Casa Bila furnitures in residential houses in Sector F-8 and demolished the illegal structures.

 The CDA special teams also carried out operation against the Vagus Cosmetics in the residential house and closed the illegally established cosmetic business in the house.
