RAWALPINDI: The Mega lucky Draw of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI)’s Rawal Shopping Festival was held on Sunday late in which mega prize of a Car, Ummrah Ticket, motorcycles, bedroom fridges, washing machines, mobile phones, tablets, DvD Players, LCDs, Cycles for children and many other precious prizes were distributed through lucky draws in the mega lucky draw ceremony held at Ayub Park.
Along with guests Senator Najama Hameed, Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed, DCO Sajid Zafar Dal, Director General Heritage Foundation Brig.(R) Zaman Nasarullah Khan Niazi, MNA Malik Ibrar, former presidents Sohail Altaf, Najam Rehan, Manzar Khurshid Sheikh, Dr. Shimail Daud Arain and a larger number of gathering were attended the mage lucky draw ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion President RCCI Syed Asad Mashadi said that lucky draw was supposed to be held on May 17 but due to rainy weather it was postponed to May 24. He said that on positive response from the public Chamber has decided to organize such event on annual basis. He said that initially the event was planned from May 2 to May 10 but enthusiastic reactions from masses and business community Chamber decided to extend it for one week till May 17.
He felicitate owner of coupon no. 26968 Mr. Shahid Usman Ghani on winning of a 800cc Car in the maga lucky draw of Rawal Shopping festival and said that such prizes will be enhanced in numbers in future to get maximum participation of the public in RSF 2016.
Mashadi said that Rawal Shopping Festival was the first event of its kind not only in the region but in the country as well. Our prime goal was to enhance business activities in the region which was badly hampered due to the mega project of Metro Bus in the City, he said. He added that due to construction work of Metro Bus Project customers declined in a large number to visit Rawalpindi markets; to bring them into business centers lucrative discounts and mega prizes through lucky draws were announced and markets of Pindi witnessed a surprise surge in business activities.
He thanked the all leaders of trade associations, Punjab Government, Commissioner Rawalpindi, CEO Cantt Fahim Zafar, media and traders to make this event a great success. He said that different events have been organized for the attraction of different age groups and different taste as vintage car show, cycle race, musical programs, kids carnival, fashion shows, Brand Icon Awards and prize distribution through computerized balloting were the centre for attraction for the people. He announced that in positive response from masses and traders RCCI decided to organize Rawal Shopping Festival in 2016.
At the end Najam Hameed, Commissioner Rawalpindi, Brig ® Zaman Nassrullah Niazi, DCO Sajid Zafar, MNA Malik Ibrar and other praised Rawalpindi Chamber to announce such a splendid event and vowed to assist RCCI in future to organize such event.
