LONDON (INP): Son in law of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Captain (Rtd) Mohammad Safdar has accused the JIT of trying to blackmail him and vowed to disclose many things at appropriate time.
Talking to media persons here on the occasion of Prime Minister’s departure for Pakistan on Eid Day, Capt (Rtd) Safdar said the attitude of JIT members towards him was very harsh and they repeatedly put questions about his connections with different people and whether he knew people, they named. He said in reply, he told them that he knew entire Pakistan.
He said the JIT members thought that being a member of white collared family, they can pressurize him to get something but he was just and stood by his rightfulness. He said the supreme court should have formed the JIT comprising efficient and prominent legal experts.
Captain (Rtd) Safdar said cameras were on and recording was being done somewhere when he was being quizzed. During the questioning, chits were being sent to the members, he remarked. He said during prayers break, a man also met him but did not give details about his conversation with him. He was of the opinion that the JIT was disappointed by calling him. He said he would disclose some things at appropriate time. He reiterated that the entire nation was standing behind Nawaz Sharif.
