<strong>LAHORE</strong>: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Sunday said that the result of Cantonment Board elections has validated Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) mandate in General Election 2013. He said that teaching politics to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was his duty and he will continue to perform his duty. Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club, Saad Rafique said that the people of cantonment proved that PML-N’s mandate was legit but Imran Khan refuses to acknowledge any vote that goes to someone other than him. “Imran declared parliament as fake and full of thieves yet he is a part of the same parliament today”, he added. The PML-N leader said that people have given their verdict again and their verdict must have disappointed people who challenged Khawaja Asif and Saad Rafique’s victory in NA-119 and NA-125 respectively. Criticizing the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) during his press conference, Saad Rafique demanded that the ECP should review its rules and abstain from imposing unnecessary restrictions. He said that the PTI chief had now made it to the parliament, which he once used to call ‘bogus and unconstitutional’. Saad Rafique said the government still welcomed Mr. Khan to the parliament despite his scathing remarks on ruling leaders and the government. He went on to say the government is hopeful that “Imran and his leaders will soon learn parliamentary language.” “Imran must realize there is no shortcut in politics.” The minister Imran didnt accept any one who got votes other than him. He maintained that ‘change’ could only come through public vote. The minister underlined that Khan produced no evidence before the judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in election. He lamented that the PTI chief filed baseless cases of murders against PML-N leadership. He said the future of the country was secured under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
