ISLAMABAD: Cold blooded murder of the Kashmiri youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani not only brought a new light in the freedom movement but also exposed most horrendous face of India before the world.
This was stated by Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan in an exclusive interview with Pakistan group of newspapers on Friday, he said that the martyrdom of Burhan actually motivated the youth to stand up against Indian occupation besides highlighting the Kashmir issue at world level strongly. Paying tribute to the Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Wani, who was killed today last year by the Indian forces in the Indian-held Kashmir, he said that that sacrifice of the youth leader would not go in vain as Kashmir is destined to get freedom from Indian occupation. He said that with the martyrdom of Burhan Wani, Kashmir issue got prominence and the world started realizing the atrocities committed by the occupation forces in occupied Kashmir.
He said that Indian forces killed hundreds of innocent protesters after the murder of Burhan. He said over 100 innocent civilians have lost their lives, while more than 8000 are injured due to use of pallet guns and brute force by occupation forces. Dozens of innocent children lost their eyesight.
He said that India is witnessing unpredicted courage and resilience by people of Occupied Kashmir against the usurper India and expressed his hope that undaunted spirit of freedom and justice will further flourish in coming year. Farooq Haider strongly condemned the state terrorism by Indian forces against peaceful innocent Kashmiris struggling for their internationally recognized right to self-determination. Raja Farooq Haider termed the unleashing of terror by the Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris barbaric, saying that such brutal acts could not silence their voice for their just cause of freedom and right to self-determination.
He said that his government has prepared a proactive Kashmir policy to accelerate the freedom struggle. He said that Pakistan has successfully highlighted the struggle of the people of Kashmir and exposed Indian brutality in the valley. Answering a question AJK PM said Pakistan was committed to extending moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir as usual. He said the solution to the Kashmir dispute lay with abiding by United Nations resolutions stressing the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
