ISLAMABAD: Minster of State for National Health Services and Regulations, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the budget has announced relief for all segments of society especially marginalized segments.
“Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar has prepared a very balance budget in current circumstances and special relief was announced for farmers”, she said while talking to media.
“It is common trend that at the time of budget the treasury benches parliamentarians favour it while the opposition criticizes, but overall it is a budget of lay man”, she further stated.
She remarked that the government is taking special measures to support deprived people as the announcement of Macro and Micro finance loans would help counter challenges of unemployment in the country.
To promote research culture, funding of Higher Education Commission has also been increased to encourage the students, ensuring their contribution in national economy.
The minister said that the response of National Health Card beneficiaries is also quite good as so far more than 90 percent satisfaction ratio has been observed.
“Patients are getting good treatment at hospitals and those who are not eligible to get the cards are trying to defame the programme.
Replying a query, she said the projects run by the federal government are producing good results but it is also the responsibility of provinces to coordinate and improve their service delivery mechanism. NNI
