ISLAMABAD, OCT 09 (DNA) – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has the bridge over railway line on Kashmir Highway for traffic here on Wednesday.
The construction work on the said bridge was commenced in March, 2014 after the approval of design, which has been completed in record time of just six (06) months.
The bridge is facilitating a large number of commuters especially those coming from their native towns to Islamabad after Eidul Azha celebrations.
The part of bridge opened will facilitate smooth flow of traffic. Construction work on the side of bridge entering Islamabad has already been completed.
Now the part of bridge for traffic heading from Islamabad to Golra Toll Plaza has also been opened for commuters after completion of construction work.
CDA has already completed the construction work on Kashmir Highway Project while bridge with ten (10) lane over the railway line on Kashmir Highway near Golra Toll Plaza has now been completed and opened for traffic.
Both sides of the bridge on the inter-provincial Kashmir Highway have been equipped with five lanes to facilitate the traffic in a smooth way.
In the meanwhile, Chairman CDA has appreciated the performance of Engineering Wing of CDA and said that the completion of construction work on Kashmir Highway in stipulated time would ease the burden of traffic at large.=DNA
