Blind cricket team visits Al-shifa trust

RAWALPINDI, DEC 28 (DNA) -Former world champions of Pakistan blind cricket team appreciated the extra ordinary services of Al –Shifa trust eye hospital being provided to the poor and needy eye patients and said in fact Al –shifa trust serving the humanity in true spirit.

These compliments were  given by former champions Pakistan blind cricket team Muhammad Nawaz and Toqeer Hussain  during their visit  to Al-shifa trust eye hospital Rawalpindi along with a group of physically impaired patients from Gilgit Baltistan.

The visit was conducted by Vision Welfare Association . The project head of the hospital Marrium Sohail warmly welcomed the group.The team visited first the light house of Al-shifa trust where their needs were catered with, visual exercises  with the help of the experts.

After that the guests were taken to the low vision department as well as the OPD where the patients were thoroughly checked on priority bases.

The team  was  very much satisfied with the services of the hospital and praised all the doctors as well as  project officer for their efficient and detailed quick checkup. Later on the Executive Director Brig(R) Rizwan Ullah  Asghar ,President Al-Shifa Foundation of North America (AFNA) Tahir Zafar and head of department eye camps exchanged views with the group leaders of Vision Welfare Association and also distributed souvenirs to the patients.=DNA
