In a bizarre statement Former Union Defence Minister and Indian Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday claimed that China has “buried” nuclear bombs in Pakistan to attack India. The Financial Express of India reported that Mulayam Singh while speaking in the Parliament claimed that Indian intelligence agencies “would know better” about Chinese nuclear weapons in Pakistan. Dubbing China as the biggest enemy of India, Mulayam said Beijing is ready to attack India in collaboration with Pakistan.
In absurd statement he further said that amidst ongoing border tension between India and China, Chinese military personnel have been seen in Pakistani military facilities in Pak-occupied-Kashmir and China was also building roads there, which he believes must be opposed at the diplomatic level. He said that “India is today facing a big danger from China. I have been cautioning central governments for many years. None of them paid adequate attention. China has joined hands with Pakistan. It has made full preparation to attack India,”
Indian politicians should refrain from passing ridiculous statements in a bid to exploit mindset of their public against neghbouring countries. Childish statements describe the theme of some fairy tale story but in international relations such things probably don’t exist. China and Pakistan are sovereign and responsible countries and want to maintain relations with other countries on the basis of mutual respect.
India is not only facing border standoff with China, but it is also involved in unprovoked ceasefire violations on LoC and Working Boundary with Pakistan. In spite of making unrealistic conspiracies, some same voices should come forward from India to resolve the bilateral issues with neighbours. `
In spite of spreading conspiracies, some sane voices should emerge from India to settle bordering issues with neighbouring countries.
