BAGH: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday cautioned the people of Azad Kashmir that a PML-N victory in upcoming elections would mean an approval for Nawaz Sharif’s pro-India policies.
Speaking at a rally in Bagh district of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the PPP chairman said Nawaz Sharif’s ‘friendship’ with Prime Minister Modi is an insult to the people of the area as the Indian premier is responsible for massacre of Muslims in Gujrat and during Modi’s) rule Kashmiris are facing the worst form of state terrorism.
“Indian agents have been arrested from your sugar mills but no eyebrows were raised, while India even terms a pigeon flying from Pakistan an agent,” said Bilawal.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also promised that if his party is able to secure victory in the Kashmiri elections then the rights of the people shall be safeguarded.
He stated that his party shall make efforts for the independence of Kashmir, further adding that “by the Grace of God, these elections in Kashmir are not going to be ordinary but they will be historic ones”.
He stated that a number of countries consider the Indian PM as a terrorist and that PPP has always raised voice to safeguard the rights of the Kashmiri people. He stated that the current rulers of Pakistan have made the independence movement of Kashmir a joke and demanded that the people of Kashmir be given the right of self-determination.
Referring to the Panama Leaks, he stated that his party demands transparent investigation of the matter. He also suggested PM Nawaz to relinquish his post, adding that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is facing turbulence.
He alleged that the PM wrongly involved PPP leaders in cases whose authenticity is questionable and further stated that unlike PML-N leaders, they shall stay in the country and face the allegations leveled against them.
He questioned that why Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is not held accountable despite the fact that he admitted being involved in money laundering in regards to the Hudaibiya Paper Mill plan.
PPP chairman said that PM Nawaz has tarnished the country’s foreign policy. He stated that India considers us as its enemy whereas Afghanistan and Iran are also against Pakistan. He added that “if the people of Kashmir support me in the elections, I promise to give this country the status it deserves in the international community”. Agencies
