QUETTA: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has threatened to launch movement for early elections if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not accept his demands.
He said this while talking to media in Quetta on Sunday. The PPP Chairman was in tears as he visited victims of the Quetta police academy attack at Civil Hospital.
Over 60 people were killed last week when three heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests stormed a police academy in Quetta.
The PPP chairman recounted how ‘Benazir Bhutto came here to Balochistan despite being warned about security risks.’
‘My family and the people of Balochistan share the same pain,’ he said. ‘I am no ordinary politician. I am the son of BB. I am a victim of this terrorism.’
Bilawal said that PPP never steps back from sacrificing their lives but the Sharif family is never willing to speak against terrorists. ‘I am Benazir Bhutto’s son. I am a victim of terrorism,’ he added.
The PPP chairman said that incidents like Quetta police training attack takes place while Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan holds photo session with extremist organizations. He asked why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Interior Minister and Imran Khan don’t stand up against terrorism.
The PPP chief asked why the Balochistan Government is unable to protect the boundaries of the province.
Speaking about the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief, Bhutto said, ‘Imran Khan’s problem and habit is… he is a puppet and the strings are in someone else’s hands.’
‘Unfortunately, he is not the professional and legend that he used to be. Without support, without the umpire’s signal, he cannot start a movement.’
