Washington: US President Joe Biden once more tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, as per a statement from the White House doctor, despite the fact that he is feeling “very well” and has no symptoms.
Biden, who tested positive for the illness nine days ago but even then tested negative again earlier this week, will restart isolation procedures.
As according White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, his positive test is thought to represent a “rebound” positivity reported by some Covid patients.
In a tweet on his successful instance, Biden stated that it can happen to a “tiny minority of people.”
“I don’t have any symptoms, but I’m going to isolate myself to protect those around me. I’m still working, but I’ll soon be back on the road.
A Tuesday trip to Michigan is in jeopardy due to the positive test. Earlier on Saturday, the White House revealed that legislation to support the semiconductor industry had recently passed. Biden had planned to highlight this development.
O’Connor stated that Biden, who is 79, has tested negative for the past four days, and given his absence of symptoms, there is no plan to restart treatment.
In the past, Biden has described his experience with COVID as being relatively light, noting that he was able to continue working while confined to an isolation unit and attributing this to immunizations and other treatments.
O’Connor had previously stated that Biden will undergo regular testing to look for any signs of a potential “rebound” Covid-19 case, which can happen to some patients who have taken Paxlovid, the medication the president was prescribed.
