PESHAWAR: At least two suspected people were arrested in Peshawar as police officers foiled an attempt of smuggling weapons to Punjab here on Sunday.
According to details, SHO Police Station Bahari Pura area Rehmat Ullah headed a raiding party conducted raids at different localities and apprehended the criminals from Pahari Pura area.
Arms and ammunition including 20 pistols, two machine guns and 30,000 cartridges were also recovered from them.
Moreover, the detainees, identified as Muhammad Ismail s/o Haji Aziz and Muhammad Nabi s/o Shazam Khan of Dara Adam Khail have been shifted to an undisclosed place for interrogation. NNI
