ISLAMABAD: US lobbyist Mark Siegel, a key witness in Benazir Bhutto murder case, has refused to come to Pakistan to record his statement in the high-profile case.
According to reports, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had summoned Mark Siegel yesterday to appear on Tuesday. However, the US journalist refused to come to Islamabad over security concerns.
“Law and order situation is not good in Pakistan,” prosecutor in today’s hearing quoted Mark Siegel as saying, and added that the journalist was willing to record statement through video link.
Siegel had held former president Pervez Musharraf responsible for ex-PM Benazir Bhutto’s killing.
