World Cup winning Barcelona midfielder Xabi Hernandez will announce on Thursday that he will leave Barcelona to join Qatari club Al Sadd, the contract is expected to keep him at the club for three yeras.
The Spain midfielder has spent 17 seasons at Barcelona and has won the La Liga title eight times, he also has three Champions League trophies to his name among a host of other trophies. He will play his last game for his boyhood club against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.
The Spanish player has also represented his country 133 times – a record for an outfield player – and was an integral figure in helping Spain win the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Championship.
