SIALKOT: Police on Thursday detained one woman as a suspect of assassination of District Vice President of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Bao Anwar from Shadra, Lahore.
According to reports, police have gathered evidences within 36 hours and have also taken a woman into custody after search of the mobile phone of the deceased. The woman has been identified as Nadia, who was having alleged relationship with Bao Anwar.
Police had also made seven teams comprising of police from Hajipura police station, Cantt police station, Ring Pura police station and Neka Pura police station whereas Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Tariq Irfan and Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) city Maqsood are directly monitoring the investigation teams.
Police sources told that interrogation is underway from those Bao Anwar had talked on the telephone whereas personal enmity cannot be neglected during the investigation.
