HUB: A local commander of a banned outfit was killed in a ‘gunbattle’ with security forces in Balochistan’s Hub area late early on Friday, sources said.
“Security personnel conducted a raid in Hub in wee hours of Friday, which led to an exchange of fire with militants hiding out in the vicinity,” sources said.
In retaliation, a local commander of an outlawed organisation was killed.
During the action, officials also seized a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from the terrorist’s den.
The dead terrorist was identified as Arif alias Saqib. Sources further said that Arif alias Saqib was the mastermind behind several suicide attacks in Balochistan province.
The dead terrorist was involved in several terrorist activities all across Pakistan.
The security forces have launched a search operation in the area to hunt accomplices of the dead terrorist. INP
