Badaber attack: PM, COAS, Air Chief visit wounded personnel at hospital


PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Friday visited the wounded soldiers at Peshawar’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Accompanying the top leadership was also Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif. They met the injured soldiers, prayed for their health and paid rich tributes for fighting bravely to thwart terrorists’ motives.

More than a dozen terrrorists attacked a residential compound in PAF airbase in Badaber area of Peshawar, martyring at least 29 people in their deadliest assault in months following a major military offensive against them.

Soldiers moved rapidly to surround the attackers, confining them to a small area and killing at least 13 of them, according to DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa. Agencies
