At least 16 people including police personnel were martyred in a suicide attack at District and Sessions Court in Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda on Monday. Three police personnel were among the martyred and 20 others were wounded in the blast. According to reports suicide bomber was trying to enter the judicial complex when he blew himself up at a time when police stopped him at the main entrance.
Apparently it seems that cowardly attack was part of the planning of terrorists to find the easy targets like public gatherings. We are fighting a war against the monster of terror. After successful military operations in the northern areas of the country and particularly near Pak-Afghan border militants are on the run. Some of the militants have escaped to Afghanistan and some have scattered in the remote areas of the country. Militants can’t fight with our brave son of the soil in the battlefield and they are in search of attacking the soft targets. Terrorists are unaware that we as a nation are determined in resolve to root out terrorism from our country. Government also has retreated that morale to fight terrorism is high and terrorists and their abettors would be eliminated from our land.
To tackle such cowardly terrorist attacks law enforcement agencies need to enhance intelligence sharing among them. Terrorists can be tackled in the battlefield but only sharp intelligence can tackle their obnoxious plans to target common people.
We also need to appreciate the martyrdom of brave policemen who sacrificed their lives to save lives of others. Encouragement with incentives would refresh and boost up moral of our security forces to combat terrorism.
Cowardly attacks of terrorists can’t deter our resolve to root-out terrorism from our motherland.
