QUETTA: At least six policemen were martyred while fifteen other sustained injuries in multiple suicide bombings in Quetta and Mian Gundi areas, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported Tuesday.
The media-wing of army stated that two suicide bombers were killed by security personnel in Mian Ghundi while a third suicide bomber detonated his vest near police van on airport road.
The Civil Defence DG has confirmed that all were suicide attacks. He said two suicide bombers loaded with 8 to 10 kilograms of explosives attacked the FC post.
As per details, all injured have been shifted to Quetta Chief Military Hospital (CMH). Sources say situation of two injured is critical.
Bomb disposal squad and rescue teams rushed to blast site whereas law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area.
The bomb disposal squad has cleared the area after conducting a search-and-sweep drill.
