Karachi: Pakistan’s leading senior actress Asma Abbas has expressed her displeasure over the criticism of her son’s complexion by social media users. Speaking on a private TV program, Asma Abbas expressed her views on the matter.
Asma Abbas said that pictures of her younger son, who is a singer and actor, were abused on social media.
She said: “My son is an introvert, he is not very social and also avoids sharing his pictures. But at one point, when I posted his picture on the occasion of Dua-e-Khair, users started criticizing his complexion.”
The actress said that her son’s complexion had deteriorated during a trip to Thailand, but the negative comments on it hurt her heart.
She said: “The users were so rude that it broke my heart and my son’s. His friends also sent clips, which made him even more upset. Finally, he asked me not to use my pictures and name on social media.”
Asma Abbas added: “After all this, I have decided that I will no longer post any pictures of my son on social media.”
