According to Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, has health issues related to COVID-19. She claimed that her father was unable to assist with flood relief due to his ill health.
Zardari’s eldest daughter revealed on Twitter that her father is dealing with some COVID-related issues. His lungs had been flooded with water, she tweeted.She continued by saying that the PPP leader had also undergone surgery in Karachi.
According to Bakhtawar, who provided updates on her father’s condition, Asif Zardari was not physically able to assist with flood relief operations, but his children were travelling to the affected areas and providing assistance in his stead. She concluded by thanking everyone who sent prayers and words of concern for her father.
After his health deteriorated, Zardari was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi’s Clifton neighbourhood on September 27. He was evaluated by a medical staff under the direction of Dr. Asim Hussain, and the surgery for the lungs was completed.
