ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) bid farewell to conciliatory politics and entered the battle on Monday as party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif has resorted to politics of 1990s once again which will yield horrific results.
According to sources, PPP is disgruntled by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) amid arrests of high profile figures in Sindh. In a statement issued by PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, it is stated that Nawaz Sharif has resorted to politics of 1990s. Zardari stated that PM Nawaz Sharif has not learnt anything from the past adding that if PM wants to do accountability then he should start from his federal minister who has accepted to launder money for him. The statement further stated that instead of looking India in the eye, PM Nawaz is exercising retaliatory politics on other political parties.
Asif Ali Zardari has said that arrest warrants have been issued for Yousuf Raza Gillani and Makhdoom Amin Faheem while Qasim Zia, son of Senator Bangash and Doctor Asim Hussain. He stated that it all part of the ploy to exercise retaliatory politics.
Zardari stated that Rana Mashood’s video had surfaced in which he had taken bribe yet he had not been arrested. He said that result of retaliatory politics will be horrific. He said that Sindh government has been paralyzed by orders from PM House.
PPP Co-Chairman stated that PM Nawaz is diverting the nation’s attention from his natural ally, the Taliban and the terrorists. Former President said that why those who murdered 14 individuals in Model Town are being let off the hook.
He stated that PM Nawaz holds his position because of PPP. He said that he had removed the restriction on 3rd time appointment of PM. Zardari said that the decision of election tribunal had confirmed PPP stance on how PML-N had won the elections.
