ISLAMABAD: According to the former general secretary of the PTI, Asad Umar, Jahangir Tareen did not contact him.
When a journalist questioned Asad about joining Tareen’s party in an informal conversation at the district courts here on Monday, Asad denied ever speaking to Tareen.
When another reporter asked if Tareen had gotten in touch with him, Asad responded, “No.” Jahangir Tareen has not contacted me, he continued.
Asad claimed that after being released from prison about a week ago, he has been going to court. He admitted that Fawad Chaudhry had contacted him.
When a journalist questioned Asad about the “agenda” of his former party colleague Faisal Vawda, Asad advised the person to ask Vawda directly.
Asad Umar claimed a few days prior that the party’s support base is unaffected by a person’s decision to remain in or leave the party.
You know that the PTI’s vote belongs to Imran Khan, Mr. Umar stated to the media as he addressed them outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
On May 24, Mr. Umar announced his retirement from all leadership posts within the party, including those of secretary general and core committee member.
Speaking at a press conference, he declared that the events of May 9 made it impossible for him to continue. He continued, “What happened on May 9 was not only condemnable but also something to think about.” He claimed that attacks on security installations were the most dangerous thing.
He continued, “I agree with Mr. Khan that without the army, Pakistan would have been destroyed like Syria and Iraq.
