Arshad Sharif, a Pakistani journalist, was killed in Kenya by gunfire: wife

In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, senior journalist and broadcaster Arshad Sharif was shot and killed. Javeria Siddiqui, Sharif’s wife, acknowledged that her husband had died in Kenya by posting a confirmation of the awful news on Twitter.

She also encouraged the public and media to refrain from posting on social media any images of their families, private information, or Sharif’s final hospital photographs.The sources added that local police have launched an investigation and are looking into the situation.

Before his wife’s confirmation came to light, several prior rumours said Sharif had perished in an accident.He was spotted in London a few days before to travelling to Kenya after arriving from Dubai.

Congratulatory messages from all over the country came in as word of Sharif’s demise circulated. Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI and a former prime minister, offered his sympathies for the loss of journalist Arshad Sharif.

The PML-Hina N’s Pervaiz Butt and the PTI’s Ali Zaidi both expressed their sorrow at the journalist’s passing and expressed their sympathies for Sharif.
