ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Thursday said there was no reason to be worried about the recent attitude exhibited by India as the Army was capable of responding to any form of aggression.
The COAS was talking to reporters after the joint session of Parliament addressed by President Mamnoon Hussain. He said Pakistani army and other law enforcement agencies know fully well how to respond to aggression.
When asked about the security situation in the country, the Army chief responded that there had been an improvement and added that the security situation would further improve in the days to come.
Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani who was also present on the occasion informed the COAs about the functioning of the Parliament and said that the Senate has been opened.
The COAS appreciated the performance of the Parliament.
The Senate Chairman and the COAs also informally exchanged views about operation Zarb-e-Azb, Karachi operation and over all law and order situation in the country.
