ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Dr. Arif Alvi both expressed their sorrow over the lives lost as a result of the destruction brought on by the floods in the United Arab Emirates.
President Alvi expressed regret over the deaths in the UAE, five of whom were Pakistanis, and prayed for the families impacted to endure their losses bravely.
He also prayed for the injured to get better quickly. According to the President, Pakistan is experiencing a comparable predicament as a result of the monsoon rains.
Dr. Arif Alvi urged cooperation between developed and developing nations in order to lessen the effects of climate change.The prime minister sent condolences to the grieving families via his Twitter account.
In a subsequent tweet, Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan supported the UAE government and people during this trying time.
He requested that the affected families receive the full support of the Pakistani consulate in Abu Dhabi.
