Pakistani forces arrested on Wednesday an Afghan spy in an intelligence-driven raid in a border town of Balochistan and seized ‘sensitive documents’ and a cache of weapons and explosives. The arrest came two weeks after Pakistani security officials revealed they have detained an Indian secret agent, Kulbhushan Yadav, who admitted in a subsequent video confession that India’s top intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing, was involved in terrorism in Pakistan.
Pakistan has been raising the issue of Indian involvement in provoking and facilitating anti-Pakistan elements in Balochistan. Recently country launched an international offensive against India over the capture of an Indian spy was had admitted to instigate violence in the largest province of the country. Now another spy has been held from the same province, who admits working for Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS), spy agency of Afghanistan.
It is great accomplishment of law enforcing agencies to arrest spy which proves foreign involvement in the conflict-torn province beyond doubt. The involvement of RAW and NDS in Balochistan has long been alleged. Though both countries have denied such allegations time and again but living evidences are hard to deny. India and Afghanistan also suffer from terrorism, so it should be better to sense the gravity of the matter and refrain from spreading terror in neighboring country. Peaceful region would be in the best interest of all countries.
Its good omen that our security agencies are doing their best to get rid Balochistan of from foreign elements which are working to destabilize the province. Security situation in the country and particularly of Balochistan would play pivotal role in success of CPEC.
Arrest of spies proved foreign involvement in the conflict-torn province beyond doubt.
