36 countries along with UNODC participated

ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) organized interaction with International Partners in Drug Control at Anti Narcotics Force Academy, Islamabad. Director General ANF, Major General Khawar Hanif exchanged his views with Drug Liaison Officers of 36 countries and UNODC.
While speaking to the gathering, Director General ANF emphasized that drug menace is a global problem, hence international partnership is considered mandatory for its eradication. During his talk, he expressed his concerns over increased cultivation of Poppy Crop in the region, along with its consequences afterwards. He stressed the need to view this menace as a global problem, and to address it without prejudice to any country. The proceedings of the conference also included a briefing on ANF performance, particularly in accordance to international scenario. DG ANF affirmed his commitment to promote mutual cooperation and offered his wholehearted support to international partners.
