RAWALPINDI (INP) Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 10 Kgs of Charas, 6 Kgs of Opium and 2.7 Kgs of Heroin in 8 different operations launched at Rawalpindi, Mianwali, Lahore, Kohat, Peshawar and Karachi. During operations, 12 persons including one lady smuggler were apprehended and one vehicle seized.
According to details, ANF Rawalpindi in an operation conducted near Waqar-Un-Nisa Women College, Sir Syed Chowk, Rawalpindi arrested an accused Bismillah Jan s/o Khaki Jan r/o District Attock and recovered 1.02 Kgs of Charas from his personal possession.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Car No. LWH-8400 near Rikhi Mor, Talagang-Mianwali Road, Mianwali and recovered 6 Kgs of Opium from the car. Two accused Ma’az Ali s/o Haider Ali and Muhammad Arif s/o Raheem Shahid, both residents of Sawabi were arrested at the spot.
ANF Karachi raided at a Drug Den in the area of Mianwali Colony; District West Karachi and recovered 4.5 Kgs of Charas from the scene. However, the accused managed to flee from the scene.
ANF Peshawar arrested a lady smuggler Shabana w/o Jamshed Khan along with her male accomplice Siam Khan s/o Shah Jehan Khan, both residents of Peshawar and recovered 4 Kgs of Charas from their possession. They were arrested near main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar while traveling to Rawalpindi in a passenger van .
ANF Peshawar during an operation conducted near Shinwari Motors, Hayat Abad, Peshawar detained two accused Allah Dita s/o Muhammad Younes and Sajid Ali s/o Ghulam Muhammad, both residents of Chiniot who confessed of having ingested Heroin filled capsules. Later on, case resulted in recovery of 450 Grams of Heroin. As per initial reports, they were proceeding to Chiniot for supply of drugs.
ANF Peshawar in another operation conducted near main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar arrested Tahir Hussain s/o Bakhtiar Hussain r/o Peshawar along with 2 Kgs of Heroin. An Afghan national Muhammad Wali was also nabbed and 500 Grams of Charas was recovered from his possession.
In another operation conducted near College Town, Rawalpindi Road, Kohat, ANF apprehended three accused namely Shaukat Ali s/o Hamid Ullah, Ajmal s/o Ghafoor and Abd-ur- Rehman and recovered 250 Grams of Heroin from their possession.
All cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under progress.
