In the most recent development holidays have been announced in the schools of Islamabad to avoid the traffic disruption when a few dozen angry workers of the PTI start burning rubber in the middle of the roads to halt the flow of traffic causing problems to school going students as well as ambulances and people who have to commute to and from work. Buses carrying students are also reportedly not let by when such a senseless act is being carried out by these mob-like groups of people making a joke out of law and order. The situation around Islamabad mostly gets back in control when the authorities disperse such groups and reopen the important intersections putting the commuters back on track after wasting hours on the roads. Similarly there has been a request of appointment of rangers to protect the Governor House Punjab as recently on the 4th on November the gate of the Governor House was set on fire by angry protestors and stones were hurled inside. The written request has been made by the Military Secretary of Governor House to DG rangers Punjab. Due to such unlawful acts by these out of control groups who have no regard for law and order, there have been talks about governor raj amongst different sectors of the society. There have been reports of some groups who are blocking the M2 motorway near Islamabad which is causing huge disruption in the traffic inside and outside the country. To bring the daily lives of people back to order, the Islamabad Police has requested for permission to meet with force these hooligans so that the blockades can be cleared.
After the notice taken by the Supreme Court and then the registration of FIR of the incident on Thursday these groups of anarchy spreaders should have been ordered to calm down by the ones who have instructed them to instigate anarchy around the country. It is now clear that different demands time to time are being made just to keep the gullible supporters and worker hanging on to one thing or the other as a narrative and the real aim may be something else. As suspected by many the real aim of causing such unrest in the country might be to bring the courts under pressure and receive favorable decisions in pending cases such as the recent one where the PTI leader was disqualified by ECP for misguidance and concealment of assets. Some also suggest that behind this political drama there may be a hidden motive related to the appointment of the new army chief which is due to happen in a few weeks. These theories were disregarded by the common man a few weeks or maybe days ago but the critical assessment of ongoing scenario has actually started to point towards these hidden motives behind the scenes which were raised by many senior analysts, politicians and anchors from time to time.
Hopefully this is not the case and the supporters and workers of the PTI are not being misused for hidden motives of the party leaders and further making them loose temperament by dramatizing an assassination attempt on their leader as alleged by many other opposing political leaders from different parties. However, if this comes out to be the case then not only the nation is being put through hell for basically nothing but the motives of a group of people who are craving the taste of power once again to save themselves from being punished for the illegal deeds that are being revealed time to time ever since they have been ousted from the central government of the country, there is a risk of so much chaos and anarchy that this could end up being a threat to the democratic system that has just started to flourish after ages of dictatorship that this country has already gone through. The leaders and conspirers belonging from the PTI should also rethink all this because if the government somehow manages to bring things under control and prove all this to be true to the courts of law then these people will be in even bigger trouble than the one they are trying to save themselves from by doing all this.
One thing is for sure that behind all this drama the real problems that include unbearable cost of commodities and fuel, constantly rising inflation and falling value of the Pakistani rupee, unbearable living conditions and unaffordable utility bills are being covered and not talked about. One day when the dust settles and the real power of democracy shows itself by actually coming on the roads for their rights then the politicians and other stakeholders that now seem to be in an altercation will all be held accountable and treated as the same team of looters that brought the economy and morals of this country to the knees just for the sake of their individual interests. Perhaps not now but one day the common man, the largest power of any democracy, will actually make accountable all those who were entrusted to uplift the country. As it is said that when a revolution is most necessary, it needs no one to lead.
