PESHAWAR, 29 DEC (DNA) – British boxer of Pakistani origin Amir Khan on Monday called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and expressed condolences over barbaric attack on children’s school in Peshawar.
The COAS, while speaking to Khan on the occasion, said the government will extend all-out cooperation to him help the victims.
After the meeting, talking to the media he said it was grieving to witness innocent children die and their pictures were really distressing adding that children were in fear and he was there to encourage them.
He said it was necessary for our children to acquire education and it our responsibility to revive children’s confidence. Khan said the children were the future of this country and that the Army was determined to wipe off terrorist elements.
Amir Khan also visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to visit the injured children. Security at the school was beefed as Khan visited the buildings. DNA
