Altaf offers ‘unconditional’ support for PTI’s rally in Karachi; talks of tolerance, love and peace

Altaf HussainKARACHI: Reiterating the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) unflinching support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally at Jinnah Ground in connection with upcoming NA-246 by-poll, Altaf Hussain early on Friday said his party was also ready for an ‘unconditional’ support even if the rally was held on Shahra e Pakistan.

Speaking to a local TV channel, he also welcomed Jamaat-e-Isalmi’s (JI) public gathering in Federal B Area of the metropolis.

“Let’s forget resentments of the past,  come forward and promote the sentiments of tolerance, love and peace, brotherhood, unity and clemency,” said the MQM chief addressing the JI and PTI workers.

“We should adopt the policy of live and let live,” he added.

The MQM chief also said that diversity was a beautiful thing and should be embraced by all, adding that the feeling of mutual respect should prevail among all political parties.

He also urged the MQM workers to participate in the Jamaat’s rally if they were ready to tolerate criticism hurled at them or the leadership.

Commenting on PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Reham Khan’s visit of Jinnah ground and the NA-246 constituency, Altaf Hussain said the gifts bought for Imran bhai and Reham Bhabhi will be presented to them at a suitable time.

In the end, he prayed for the success of PTI and JI public rallies and promotion of an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood in the country.
