KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi has declared Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain as an absconder in an attempted murder case.
The investigation officer from Civil Lines PS submitted a report before the ATC stating that the nominated Altaf Hussain is not in the country and therefore cannot be arrested. The police requested the court that Hussain be declared an absconder, which the court approved.
It is pertinent to mention here that an FIR was registered by Col Tahir on March 16 against Altaf Hussain for threatening Rangers officials.
