PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Revenue Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday has been granted bail after he was arrested for taking away ballots boxes from polling station in KP local body (LB) polls.
The KP Police had arrested Gandapur after registering two cases against him. He was accused of pointing guns at policemen and taking away ballots boxes from a polling station.
Gandapur was handed over to the KP Police on one-day physical remand by a court in Dera Ismail Khan. The KP minister took away ballots boxes in his car along with his brother Umar Amin Gandapur, a candidate for tehsil nazim when the vote count was underway at the Hemath Adda polling station.
However, he has been granted bail in both cases against Rs 90,000 for each. The police tried to stop the ruling party’s minister however failed and resorted to silence. DNA
