ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has vowed to ensure holding of free and transparent general election in the state.
Talking to various delegations which called on him at Kashmir House here on Monday, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said that directions have been issued to administration to extend full cooperation to AJK Election Commission for holding the elections in free and fair manners.
He said the administration has also been directed to ensure the complete registration of voters so that every citizen can use his right of franchise.
The AJK PM said free and fair elections in the base camp of Kashmir liberation struggle would give a positive message to people residing across the Line of Control (LoC).
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed strongly condemned illegal detention of Hurriyat Leaders, crackdown on youth and use of brute force on the peaceful protestors in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
