Says Pakistan leadership wants stronger ties with US
WASHINGTON: Pakistan ambassador designate to the United States, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, called on US President Donald Trump in Washington and presented his credentials.
Aizaz Chaudhry expressed best wishes for the improvement of Pakistan-US relations and said that the leadership and the people of Pakistan want stronger ties with US. Pakistan ambassador also conveyed best wishes from the leadership and the people of Pakistan for Donald Trump.
Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, a Foreign Service officer with over 36 years of bilateral and multilateral experience in the field of diplomacy, was appointed ambassador to the United States in February, this year after his retirement as Foreign Secretary.
Later in a TV interview Chaudhry said that President Trump, at the meeting, expressed his well wishes for Premier Sharif.
