After the ceasefire announcement, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has resumed the Hajj operation. After the opening of the airspace, the Hajj flight will also run tonight.
According to sources, 3 Hajj flights were suspended today due to tension. Due to the tension between Pakistan and India, 10 flights of the Hajj operation were suspended. Due to the suspension of these 10 flights, 2290 Hajj pilgrims could not visit the holy Hijaz. Due to the tension, 7 Saudi Airlines and 3 PIA flights were suspended.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has sent 1100 of the remaining 2290 Hajj pilgrims on PIA special flights, the remaining 1100 pilgrims will also be sent in the next few days.
In this regard, a statement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs has also come out. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that Pakistan’s airspace has been fully restored for all types of flights, Hajj flights will depart for Saudi Arabia as per the schedule from now on.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 3 Hajj flights from Lahore, 2 from Islamabad, and one each from Karachi and Multan were canceled. The cancellation of flights affected the schedule of 2,290 pilgrims. 1,277 pilgrims have been sent on special flights. The remaining 1,013 pilgrims will soon be sent to Saudi Arabia on special flights.
According to the spokesperson, 19,669 Pakistani pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far. Pilgrims should contact the relevant Hajj camps for information about Hajj flights.
