AIOU offers Associate Degree in education and skill-based courses

ISLAMABAD , Aug 10 (INP) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has opened admissions of Associate Degree in education and skilled-based courses including Commerce, Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Hospital Management, IT Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance and Human Resource Management in order to promote skill-based education.

The admissions forms and prospectuses could be obtained from the Sale Points at main campus and at Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices across the country.

According to Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain, Director Admission, the admission forms along-with prescribed fee can be submitted in countrywide branches of Bank Al-Falah, Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and at the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank.

The admission forms and prospectus of Matric, FA and BA level programmes for Pakistanis in the Middle-East can be obtained / download from website del.aiou.edu.pk of the University. Continuing admission forms have already been dispatched to all the continuing students, however, if somehow any of student has not received the said admission form, he/she can download the same from the AIOU website www.aiou.edu.pk and deposit in any designated bank branch with fee till due date to avoid late fee charges.

According to Director Admissions, the admissions of Phh.D has been offered in Islamic Studies (Gen), Islamic Studies (Quran & Tafseer), Chemistry, Iqbal Studies, Pakistani Languages & Literature, Shari’ah, Urdu and Mass Commission while the admissions of MS/M.Phil has offered in Islamic Studies, Quran & Tafseer, Arabic, LLM Shari’ah/MS Shari/ah, Chemistry, Community Health & Nutrition, Iqbal Studies and Mass Communication. M.Sc is offering in Economics, Pakistan Studies, Statistics, Gender & Women Studies, M.Com (Accounting & Finance, 2 years programme).

 

The admissions of MBA is being offered in Specializations of HRM, Marketing, IT and Banking & Finance. MBA in Rural Management and Col MBA/MPA has also be offered. MA in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Urdu, Post Graduate Diploma in Gender & Women Studies and HRM have been offered. In Bachelor’s programs, BS (Computer Science), Mass Communication, B.Com, BLIS, Dars-e-Nizami while Associate Degree are being offered in Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Hospital Management, Accounting & Finance, Banking & Finance, Human Resource Management, IT Management and Marketing Management. FA (Gen), FA (Dars-e-Nizami) and I.Com, SSC and the admissions of PTC, B.Ed (Gen) and B.Ed (Arabic) are also been included.

Dars-e-Nizami in BA (Shahadat-ul-Alia), Higher Secondary (Sanvia Khass), Secondary (Sanvia Aama), The admissions in Certificate Courses (Duration 6 Months), Technical and Vocational Certificate Courses (in different disciplines), Agricultural Certificate Courses, Open Tech Courses and Short Term Educational Programmes are being offered.
