ISLAMABAD (INP) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set-up a new record by lunching ‘Shari’ah and law-education’ through distance learning mode aimed at providing opportunities of professional growth and development of Shari’ah scholars all over the country.
The new programs includes: LLM (Shari’ah), MS (Shari’ah) and Ph.D (Shari’ah) have been commenced from the ongoing semester Autumn, 2014 the admissions of which would be closed on September 19. This was announced by Director Admissions, AIOU Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain.
It is the first time that a public sector institution has commenced imparting law education through distance learning system, it will help to meet the needs of the lawyer and fresh graduates, who wish to adopt professional career in Shari’ah and law.
It will also help in providing opportunities of professional growth and development of Shari’ah scholars. The graduates of these programs will serve on important academic and administrative post in the colleges and Universities of Pakistan as well in the foreign countries. The students will complete course work with qualified tutors, these programs have been designed to carry out research in different fields of Shari’ah in order to explore new dimension of understanding of Islam.
Admission forms and prospectuses can be obtained from the University’s main campus at Sector H-8, Islamabad and from its countrywide campuses and coordinating offices. Eligibility, detail of courses and fee structure have been mentioned in prospectuses of these programs
