LAHORE: After being dropped from the Twenty20 series, all-rounder Anwar Ali has on Saturday been dropped from the One-Day International (ODI) series as well. Players who are due to join the crew for ODI series, including ODI Captain Azhar Ali, will arrive in Zimbabwe on Sunday.
Known for his aggressive batting and brilliant bowling, Anwar Ali failed to gain complete fitness before the start of the series and was finally dropped from ODI series as well, after the T20. Young cricketer Aamer Yameen will be given chance in his place.
Pakistan will play its first T20 with Zimbabwe on September 27. On the other hand, ODI captain Azhar Ali, wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed, Rahat Ali and Babar Azam will arrive in Zimbabwe tomorrow.
