Karachi: After four days in Karachi, the water supply in the city returned to normal. Due to the repair work at various places by the Water Corporation, there was a water crisis in the city, but the situation has started to return to normal.
According to details, the water supply in Karachi was badly affected for four days due to which the worst water crisis had arisen in different areas and the citizens were forced to get water through tankers.
Water Corporation officials said that during the development work of Old Vegetable Market Red Line project, the main line burst due to which the water supply was stopped and the repair work was started. It takes twenty-four to twenty-eight hours to arrive.
The spokesperson of Water Corporation said that it takes fourteen hours from Indus River to Piperi and it takes twelve to fourteen hours for water to reach the city, but now the water supply in the city is normal.
The spokesman said that it took two days to replace the line and valves at three places at the old vegetable market as the main line had to be shut down to supply it while after completing the repair of the line yesterday when the water When the supply was started, once again the water from the old vegetable market started leaking due to which the road looked like a pond.
The water corporation officials immediately completed the line repair work and various local bodies drained the water overnight. The water supply in Karachi was badly affected for four days due to which the city was suffering from droplet of water in different areas.
Among the most affected, different areas including Gulshan Iqbal, Gulistan Johar, Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Rancholine, Garden, PIB Ka Loni, Sadar, Ramswamy, Mahmoodabad, Korangi Crossing were affected. Water supply has returned to normal in the affected areas.
