Afghan Security Forces freed 27 detained Jirga members

ZHOB: Afghan Security Forces freed 27 tribal Jirga members while Naib Tehsildar and a Levies personal is still in their custody. Official said.

At least 29 tribal jirga members including Naib Tehsildar of tehsil Zimri Plaseen district Musakhail were arrested by Afghan Security Forces in bordering area Qamar Din Karez adjacent to Afghan province Paktika on Aug 26.

“The Jirga members were traveling in a three-vehicle convoy to settle a tribal dispute in bordering area, when Afghan forces arrested them in Do Cheena area and took them to Afghan capital Kabul .” Deputy Commissioner Zhob Nazar Muhammad Khetan said.

Due to the hectic efforts of Deputy Commissioner Nazar Khetran, Assistant Commissioner Kakar Khurasan Sheikh Asmatullah Mandokhail, Tehsildar Sambaza Sadiq Hariphal, Malik Muhammad Rahim Laoon, Malik Hazrat and Rahim Mardanzai the detained 27 Pakistanis were freed on Sunday.

Naib Tehsildar and Levies personnel would be released in couple of days. DC Khetran added.

A statement released by Afghan Interior Ministry, said that the vehicle convey was stopped by the border police forces when they entered Afghan territory and were shifted to Kabul for investigation.
