ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has met with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker, in which relations between the two countries, issues of mutual interest and enhancing bilateral cooperation were discussed.
The meeting also discussed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s recent visit to the US, in which he said that the meetings with members of the US Congress during his visit to the US were very positive.
Mohsin Naqvi said that detailed discussions were held in the meetings on formulating a joint action plan against terrorism and further advancing bilateral relations. He said that terrorism is an international problem, the international community must work together to deal with it.
The Interior Minister said that Pakistan and the US have excellent relations, which span several decades. American cooperation is of utmost importance in enhancing the capacity of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies. It is hoped that Pak-US relations will gain new strength during the tenure of President Donald Trump.
Mohsin Naqvi invited the Acting US Ambassador to attend the Jashn Baharan program in Islamabad.
