In yet another threat call to the minorities in India, extremists associated with fascist Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and journalists have openly called for genocide against Muslims and asked Hindus to buy weapons to kill the Muslims en masse.
The hate comments were made during a three-day event named Dharma Sansad in Haridwar city of Uttarakhand. The conclave was organized by Yati Singhanand, a controversial Hindutva member infamous for his hate speech.
The hatred and extremism of Hindutwa motivated extremists are crossing the limits, and the extremists are openly working on their agenda under the fascist Modi regime. The world is well aware of the brutalities being committed by the Hindutwa motivated extremists by killing Muslims and other monitories living in India.
The latest threat call from Swami Prabodhanand Giri, president of the Hindu Raksha Sena, an extremist organisation based out of Uttarakhand is not a new one. According to an Indian website, in 2017, he issued a broad statement calling for Hindus to have eight kids to contribute “towards conserving, preserving and protecting Hindutva.”
In 2018, he had made a speech at Shamli saying that only Muslims rape Hindu women and spoke about ‘love jihad’, apart from expressing other anti-Muslim sentiments. He has also made genocidal statements in a video with Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati that was made public in June of this year.
Another speaker Sadhvi Annapurna, general secretary of the Hindu Mahasabha, called for the mass genocide of the minority community. “Nothing is possible without weapons. If you want to eliminate their population then kill them. Be ready to kill and get ready to go to jail. Even if 100 of us are ready to kill 20 lakhs of them, we will be victorious and go to jail,” Annapurna said.
BJP leaders Ashwini Upadhyay and Udita Tyagi also participated which gave the event a level of political encouragement from the ruling party. The speakers pointed to the 2017 mass atrocities against Rohingya Muslims and their exodus as an example and called for a similar action to enable Muslims’ ethnic cleansing.
Besides this, life for Christians in India was getting suffocating by the day as it was becoming increasingly difficult for them to practice their religion amid rise in attacks against them by Hindu extremists and vigilantes.
New York Times in an extensive report gave details of a number of incidents in which Hindu zealots tortured Christian priests, stormed churches, threatened Christian missionaries, attacked schools of the Christian community and burnt their religious literature.
There is a lot to talk about the terrorism of the Hindutwa motivated extremists, but for now, the world need to open up its eyes over the threats of genocides by the extremists, and the heinous crimes which are already being committed.
This extremist’s ideology is not only threat to the minorities living in India, but also the civilized people will also bear the consequences. Furthermore, this is a threat to whole region and ultimately the whole world. This is the right time for the global community to react and take strict notice of the growing extremism under the fascist Modi regime in India.
